Ourli

Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-07-01

By creating an account or continuing to use Ourli, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use are a binding contract between you and Ourli. They apply the moment you visit the site, create an account, or use any feature. If you sign up on behalf of a family, business, or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind them to these terms.

2. What Ourli is

Ourli is a technology platform that helps families and helpers find each other. We are not a staffing agency, employer, nanny agency, or insurer. All bookings, payments, schedules, and work terms are agreed directly between the family and the helper.

3. Who can use Ourli

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Helpers must be legally authorized to work and to provide the services they list. Accounts must be under your real identity.

4. Your account and security

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your credentials private and notify us of unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts or remove content to protect the platform.

5. Prohibited conduct

No harassment, discrimination, fraud, fake reviews, off-platform payment circumvention, scraping, spam, recruiting for competing services, or violations of law. We may remove content or suspend accounts without warning.

6. Helper and provider terms

Helpers are independent users, not employees of Ourli, and are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of their services. Badges and verification signals are informational only.

7. Payments, fees, and holds

Payments run through our payments partner. You authorize Ourli to charge or transfer funds to complete bookings and fees. We may place holds or delay payouts to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You handle your own taxes.

8. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds

Cancellation and refund policies are set by each helper or the terms at booking. Ourli is not a party to these arrangements and is not responsible for missed or late sessions.

9. Reviews, messages, and content

You own your content but grant Ourli a broad, royalty-free, worldwide license to use it in operating and promoting the platform. We may moderate or remove content at our discretion.

10. Disputes between users

Ourli is not responsible for disputes between families and helpers. Any support we provide is at our discretion and final. Users release Ourli from claims arising from interactions with other users.

11. Dispute resolution and arbitration

Any dispute is resolved through binding individual arbitration, not in court (small claims excepted). You waive any right to a jury trial or class action. This survives account termination.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ourli is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability will not exceed the greater of amounts you paid to Ourli in the prior 12 months, or $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ourli and its team from claims arising out of your use of the platform, your content, your violation of these terms, or your interactions with other users.

14. Intellectual property

Ourli owns all rights in the platform, design, code, branding, and content, except user-generated content. Our name, logo, and marks may not be used without permission.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Liability, indemnity, arbitration, and IP provisions survive termination.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.

17. General

These terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. Governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A.
